FIRST FAMILIES
OF
HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO (FFHC)
This program honors the descendants of
the pioneers who settled in Hamilton County prior to 31
December 1820. An annual recognition is held to honor the
year's new members, present pins and certificates to members
of the First Families of Hamilton County. The application
fee is $30.00 and Chapter membership is required. To date
over 800 pioneer Ancestors have been identified.
First Families of Ohio is similar to that of the First
Families of Hamilton County but is not limited to just
Hamilton County. It includes all of Ohio and is offered
through the Ohio Genealogical Society.
All members of
the Hamilton County Genealogical Society who are eligible
for the FFHC may also be eligible to apply for membership in
First Families of Ohio, sponsored by the Ohio Genealogical
Society (
www.ogs.org ).
