HCGS INTEREST GROUPS

The Hamilton County Genealogy Society sponsors several Special Interest Groups among its members. They may not all be active at the same time and others can be added if there is interest and leadership. Each group plans programs during the year featuring speakers and topics of interest to the group. Other groups, without leadership at this time, are English, Southern, and Computer. AFRICAN AMERICAN INTEREST GROUP

A small African American Interest Group meets on an irregular schedule, holding classes and programs at various locations throughout the city. Guests are always welcome. To be put in touch with this group, please contact us.

GERMAN INTEREST GROUP

The German Interest Group is an active one, with several programs during the year.
They are announced on the chapter’s calendar in the Tracer and Gazette, and on the website.

IRISH INTEREST GROUP

The Irish Interest Group is in a re-startup mode, with future programs anticipated during 2008 and a featured speaker in 2009 at a date around St. Patrick’s Day. Chapter publications and the website will carry the announcement and information.
