RESEARCH SERVICES
Certain
research services are available through The HCGS Research Committee.
MARRIAGE and DEATH NOTICES
The indexes can be found at www.hcgsdata.org or the DATABASES button to the left.
The books used for this service are indexes to records, not copies of the records.
This service does not provide death certificates or actual marriage records.
Marriage Index --
The marriage index is compiled from numerous church records and some newspaper entries.
It includes the name of the bride and groom, the date, and the location of the marriage record.
Death Notice Index --
The death index information is taken from several newspapers. The entry gives the name of the deceased, the
death date, the newspaper publication date, and sometimes a maiden name.
