Update on the Family History Center, Bosworth Place
October 24, 2020
The Family History Center (FHC) at 5505 Bosworth Place, Cincinnati, remains closed to the public, but the Wi-Fi from the building continues to work in the parking lot. A patron can sit in a vehicle with a personal computing device and access FamilySearch information only available at a Family History Center. The password changes periodically, so contact the center at 513 551-5624 for the information needed to access FamilySearch from the FHC parking lot.
When using the Wi-Fi from the building’s parking lot, there may be some service interruption due to construction or firewall disruptions. Occasionally an initial capital letter in the password is not accepted. If that happens, try the password again with the letter in lower-case.
The Family History Center asks that researchers NOT enter the lot on Sundays or Mondays and, for personal safety, after dark.
Another Family History Center in the area may be more convenient. To find out if a preferred location offers similar access, contact the center directly.
Volunteers from the Bosworth Place location have offered to help researchers remotely. To ask questions or set up a phone or email appointment to discuss a research question, leave a message at 513 551-5624, and a volunteer will respond.
The Family History Center does not have a scheduled re-opening date set at this time. When the FHC reopens, there will be protocols in place for the health and safety of patrons and volunteers.
