Hamilton County Recorder’s Office Advanced Records with Jim Dempsey and Dave Pittinger
Jim Dempsey, HCGS Research and Preservation Director, and Dave Pittinger, Chief of Staff for the Hamilton County Recorder’s Office (HCRO), will discuss Hamilton County land records at the Recorder’s Office and how to locate your ancestors’ records. The September 10 “Beginning Recorder’s Office Records” webinar included an explanation of the complexity of land records due to the different survey methods used in Hamilton County. Almost all of the office’s records before 1800 and most deeds to the present day are online. This session will demonstrate how to use the indexes compiled by society volunteers and available to search on the HCGS website.
This 60-minute lecture will be presented live via a Zoom webinar, and you must register in advance. There is no cost to register and attend. Registration is open to HCGS members and non-members.
Registration begins on Friday September 9 and will remain open until 9:00p.m. EDT Saturday October 8.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to join us for an information-packed lecture and discussion of the many records available at the Hamilton County Recorder’s Office.
