Research Services
The Hamilton County Genealogical Society (HCGS) no longer provides fee-based research services. If you wish to hire a professional researcher, or are an HCGS member and want to offer your research services, see Paid researchers below.
The Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) will provide copies of obituaries and other articles from local newspapers and pages from books and periodicals in its collection (including books published by HCGS). Currently there is no fee or limit for this service.
To make a request, contact the Genealogy and Local History Department at research@chpl.org or 513-369-6900, with as much information as possible. For newspaper notices, provide the name of the deceased or the title of the article, the full date, and the newspaper name. A page number helps speed up the process for book copy requests. Requests can be fulfilled via email, fax, or snail-mail.
Disclaimer
Agreements are made between the paid researcher and the client. HCGS is not responsible for any services provided by the researcher. Contact details and description of services are provided by the researcher.
