Hamilton County Genealogical Society

We offer a 20 percent discount for members only – the Member Discount Program - on all Hamilton County Genealogical Society publications for sale here in our online store, including books, PDFs, and CD/DVDs. The discount will also apply to works published by Little Miami Publishing Company that are sold by HCGS. Our website will reflect new higher list prices on some publications. In order for the member discount to be applied to your purchase you must first log into the Members Area, then return here to the Shop & Support store. The discount will then be applied automatically to all publications you purchase. If you would like to become a member see our Join or Renew page.

Items may be purchased here online during Chrckout by using a:

1) credit card (via PayPal), or

2) your PayPal account, or

3) by downloading and printing your Order Confirmation/Mail-in Form, then mailing it in with a personal check.

Purchases may also be made completely offline by printing and mailing in our Publications order form along with your payment (does not include the 20% Member Discount).

Instructions for online purchasing:

To purchase items online, click the corresponding "Add to Cart" button next to each item. Then on the resultant Order Information screen you can proceed to "Checkout," click "Continue Shopping" to return to the HCGS shop and add more items to your cart, or "Empty Cart" to remove all selected items and start over. If you Continue Shopping a "View Cart/Checkout" appears on the top right of the shop page.

To view items in your online cart, click "View Cart."

To remove one item from your online cart, click the "View Cart" button (located at the top of this web page) which will again open to the Order Information page. Next to the specific item to remove, click the link "Remove Item". Then proceed to "Checkout," or click "Continue Shopping" to return to the HCGS shop and add more items to your cart.

To remove all items from your online cart, click the "View Cart" button, then click "Empty Cart".

After clicking on Checkout you can select the Payment Method: Either "Credit Card / Paypal" or "Check with Mail-in Form".

Then click on Place Order after which you can print your Order Confirmation (this is also the Mail-in Form for payment by check).

If paying by Credit Card/PayPal be sure to click on the Buy Now button after printing your Order Confirmation.

There is a $5.00 Base Shipping Charge for all orders, except for downloadable PDF items.

Added to the Base Shipping Charge (if any) is a $1.00 per item Shipping/Handling charge.

Volunteers handle orders: Please allow 30 days for delivery.

Preserve the Pensions: Veteran Bounty Land Records Project

Support of digitization effort by the National Genealogical Society (NGS) and the National Archives (NARA) to digitize and make available to researchers the Bounty-Land Warrant Application files (ca. 1800- ca. 1900). Donations will be matched 100% by the Hamilton County Genealogical Society (HCGS) to double the impact of your donation.

Donations can be made in increments of $10.00.

J. Richard Abell Fund

The Abell fund has been used for many years to support and enhance the genealogy collection of resources at PLCH. We encourage donations from our members and we supplement this fund from our resources to a minimum of $1,000 annually.
